Psalm 23: from Whatsapp Community

The Lord is My Shepherd
The Lord is my Shepherd --That's RELATIONSHIP!

I shall not want -- That's SUPPLY!

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures --
That's REST!

He leadeth me beside still waters --
That's REFRESHMENT!

He restoreth my soul -- That's HEALING!

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness --
That's GUIDANCE!

For His name sake -- That's PURPOSE!

Yea, though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil --
That's PROTECTION!

For thou art with me -- That's FAITHFULNESS!

Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me --
That's COMFORT!

Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of mine enemies --
That's HOPE!

Thou anointest my head with oil --
That's CONSECRATION!

My cup runneth over -- That's ABUNDANCE!

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life -- That's BLESSING!

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord --
That's SECURITY!

Forever -- That's ETERNITY!

The Twenty-Third Psalm so beautifully describes the
relationship our wonderful Savior has with us, His people.

Many of the Psalms, if not all of them, are prophetic in
some way. This psalm surely gives a vivid glimpse of the
compassionate office Christ shares in caring for His sheep.
The Lord Jesus said in John 10:10-14:

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:
I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more
abundantly.
I am the good shepherd:
the good shepherd giveth his
life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd,
whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth
the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the
sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth
not for the sheep.
I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep,
and am known of mine."
