Holy Thursday - Adoration Prayers

Use appropriate Hymns at the beginning and in between

Into our broken world you came, Lord Jesus. You embraced our darkness, even though you are pure light.

Prayer in Preparation for Pentecost -3

Prayer in Preparation for Pentecost -3

Lord, our God, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we ask you to stir up within us the fullness of your Holy Spirit. Help us to grow in our relationship with the Third Person of your Holy Trinity and to live in his power and use his gifts.

Hymn: K 14

Leader: The Holy Spirit is always with us. He is at work in the hearts of each of us. It is he who straightens what is twisted. It is he who makes straight the way of the saviour. He is present in all human aspirations and he corrects in them what must be corrected. We are temples of God and the Holy Spirit lives in us.

Holy Week -5: Meditation: Jesus Betrayed

The betrayals of so many people ended in a tragedy of cosmic proportions. Let us pay particular attention to all those seemingly insignificant decisions made by the supporting actors in this melancholy drama. It won't be difficult to see ourselves in this play; each of us commits the same little murders every day.

Holy Week -3: Mystery of the Cross

Mystery of the Cross

*(R) Redeem us, Lord, and make us redeemers by the mystery of the Cross*
1)         Living the example of Jesus Christ, fidelity to our commitment as religious/Christians, will lead to the cross. Jesus himself told us that following him is reduced to three things: letting go ourselves, taking up our cross, and following him (Lk 9 23). The cross is not merely a possibility in religious life, or even a probability; it is an inevitability.

Holy Week -2 Meditation: Jesus Emptied

I look at the crucified Lord here and in life. I see him stripped of everything:

*-Stripped of dignity*, naked before his friends and enemies...

*-Stripped of all his possessions*: I remember the times when people wanted just to touch the fringe of his garments.

Holy Week-1: Jesus –Broken

Into our broken world you came, Lord Jesus. You embraced our darkness, even though you are pure light.

God doesn't Change

God is God:
🏽He doesnt care about *age*, no wonder he blessed Abraham.
🏽He doesnt care about *experience*, no wonder he chose David.
🏽He doesnt care about *gender,* no wonder he lifted Esther.
🏽He doesnt care about *your past*, no wonder he called Paul.
🏽He doesnt care about *your physical appearance*, no wonder he chose Zacchaeus
(the shortest one).

17 Sunday C: Teach Us to Pray

Receiving Communion can itself be a moment of prayer - a dialogue between God and us and so proper reception is called for.  Watch the video:

7 Facts About Meditation That May Surprise You

1. Meditation is more than just closing your eyes.
Meditation can initiate an incredibly restful physical and mental state of consciousness called the “Relaxation Response.” But merely closing your eyes won’t guarantee it anymore than turning off the lights guarantees that you’ll fall asleep at night. Your breath, body position, and the time of day also play a part in yielding deeper experiences.

Questions From Jesus Christ

Important Questions
Lets take a look at some of the important questions asked by our Lord Jesus Christ. These are the questions that HE wants answers to.
Bread of life1. How many loaves do you have? (Matthew 15:34)
Loaf or bread represents my Word. You cannot survive with the earthly bread alone, you need ME, the bread that came down to give you eternal life. I am the Word made flesh. MY WORD is eternal. Strive therefore to LEARN MY WORD. How many scriptures do you know by-heart? Can you call to mind and recite at least a couple of them in a crisis? Do you practice living by MY WORD? Just as you satisfy your hunger better by having more loaves, the more the number of scriptures in your heart, the better your life.

Stay Faithful - Meditation

Today’s Scripture

Scripture“Judas Iscariot…went to the chief priests in order to betray him to them. And when they heard it, they were glad and promised to give him money. And he sought an opportunity to betray him.” – Mark 14:10-11 ESV.

Recall Notice

The Maker of all human beings (GOD) is recalling all units manufactured, regardless of make or year, due to a serious defect in the primary and central component of the heart.
This is due to a malfunction in the original prototype units code named Adam and Eve, resulting in the reproduction of the same defect in all subsequent units.

De Mello - Meditations

Call to Love - Meditations by Anthony de Mello SJ

Therefore you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. (Mt. 24:44)

Sooner or later there arises in every human heart the desire for holiness, spirituality, God, call it what you will.

One hears mystics speak of a divinity all around them that is within our grasp, that would make our lives meaningful and beautiful and rich, if we could only discover it.
