Yes! That is the unexpected and surprising tale that emerged from the Baramati marathon as Lata Bhagwan Kare outran every other conventional runner to emerge victorious at the event.
She took everyone – the organizers, the spectators and fellow competitors – completely by surprise, as not only was this her first ever race of such a kind, but she also established a big lead over the remaining participants within minutes of the start.
Everything about this runner was a surprise element, right from her being 61-years-old, to running barefoot and the fact that she wore a traditional nauvari (Maharashtrian sari) while running.

Introduction to the Celebration 

Today is one of the very few times in the year when the actions of women towards Jesus are at the centre of our recollection. We recall that Jesus was supported and helped by women in his work as he moved around Palestine. We also recall the incident when an unnamed woman anointed his feet with oil, kissed his feet, and wiped away her tears with her hair. Her sins were forgiven because she had shown such love.

Now we are gathered at table with the Lord, let us pray that our love will be such that our sins may be forgiven.

Introduction to the Celebration

Today we read one of the most moving passages in the whole of the gospels: a woman, a wife who had been caught committing adultery is brought before Jesus so that he can be tested to see if he will ‘do the right thing’ and say she should be stoned. Jesus asks for the man who is not a sinner among the accusers to begin the stoning, and the group melts away one by one. Jesus does not condemn the woman for her conduct, but challenges her to begin life afresh. This is the challenge Jesus puts to us each Lent:

Did Jesus PROHIBIT women priests and bishops by "not choosing" women, or by "not including" women to be apostles? And if so, did Jesus PROHIBIT women priests and bishops for ALL times and in ALL places?
Not everyone so thinks, or believes, including many current members of the Roman church, some of whom are priests and bishops. These brave and intrepid believers know that if they must be considered "disobedient," it should rather be to the pope and his curia rather than to Jesus and God.
The evidence for a prohibition by Jesus is weak and underwhelming, even if it can be said to exist at all. This leaves "tradition," such as it is, and the voice of current Roman church authority, all male and thoroughly clerical, as "the voice of God."
Could all this change with the election of a new pope? And if not the next pope, how about the one after the next one? [By that time, will change by or from the Vatican make any difference?]

Woman's Job! Respect it!

A father came home and found his three children were outside, still in pyjamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all around the front yard.The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house and there was no sign of the dog. Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall.
             
In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon , and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing.In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor,a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.

He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she may be ill, or that something serious had happened. He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door. As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over the floor.

Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls. As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pyjamas, reading a novel.She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went. He looked at her bewildered and asked, "What happened here today?" She again smiled and answered, "You
know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world did I do today?"*"Yes," was his reply. *She answered, *"Well, today I didn't do it."*

We sometimes ignore the woman considering that what she can do. But if shestops working We cant even live !!! Respect Them...
