Power of Mothers' Prayer

Power of Mother’s Prayer…

Power of Mother's Prayer

Mothers, Never Stop Praying For Your Husbands And Children.

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born.
She never existed before.
The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.

Mothers have an unfair advantage with the Lord.

Introduction by the Celebrant

  1. Hope in a New World

Some parts of Scripture, like today's readings, speak of calamities and disasters as signs of an old world decaying and Jesus coming in judgment. Today's television and other media bring into our homes the disasters and violence and suffering of the whole world; and people ask: where all this is leading us. These are signs for us today that the world in which we live is decaying, but we should not overlook the signs of hope too in a fairer and more unified world, the crumbling of tyrannies on the right and the left. These are, like budding branches on a tree, signs of hope in a new world that is growing, and in the coming of God among us, his people. Let us celebrate this hope in this eucharist.

Fibonacci Numbers and Nature This page has been split into TWO PARTS.
This, the first, looks at the Fibonacci numbers and why they appear in various "family trees" and patterns of spirals of leaves and seeds. The second page then examines why the golden section is used by nature in some detail, including animations of growing plants.

Daddy's Girl

Daddy’s Poem

A li'l girl
Her hair was up in a pony tail,Her favorite dress tied with a bow.Today was Daddy’s Day at school,And she couldn’t wait to go.
But her mommy tried to tell her,
That she probably should stay home;
Why the kids might not understand,
If she went to school alone.

Pastor Rick Warren

Life & God – Rick Warren

Pastor Rick Warren Pastor Warren is the same person who prayed for President Obama on the day of the President’s swearing in. You will enjoy the new insights that Rick Warren has, with his wife now having cancer and him having ‘wealth’ from the book sales. This is an absolutely incredible short interview with Rick Warren, ‘Purpose Driven Life’ author and pastor of Saddleback Church in California. In the interview by Paul Bradshaw with Rick Warren, Rick said: People ask me, What is the purpose of life?
And I respond: In a nutshell, life is preparation for eternity. We were not made to last forever, and God wants us to be with Him in Heaven. One day my heart is going to stop, and that will be the end of my body– but not the end of me. I may live 60 to 100 years on earth, but I am going to spend trillions of years in eternity. This is the warm-up act – the dress rehearsal.

Introduction to the Celebration

We can gather here because each of us has heard, in some way or another, the divine invitation to become beloved daughters and son of the Father. The Spirit has moved our hearts to set out to follow the Lord, and we have started on a journey towards the Father in the way we live our lives. However, as we gather today to celebrate this journey, we are also conscious that we often fail to live life in accordance with this invitation. The gospel recalls Jesus seeing a poor widow in the temple treasury and his way of looking at this woman is a challenge to all of us who accept his invitation to follow him.
